… stop.

You have nothing to gain. It doesn’t matter what has happened, stay away from complaining, getting bitter, or blaming others.

If Stephen Hawking, who has every right to complain, whine and be angry about his condition, recognizes this, you should too. This mirrors the advice from Dale Carnegie in his book, How to Win Friends and Influence people – Don’t criticize, condemn or complain.

Next time when things don’t go your way or you recognize that others had a better head start than you in life, keep smiling and find ways to put yourself in a positive state of mind and mood. If you don’t know how to change your state, start by either exercising or sleeping followed by being appreciative for what you already have.

When you stay optimistic in the face of setbacks, everyone else around you and especially you will be much better off for it.
